In truth, I've put this story aside for a while (almost two years by now) because I've lost interest.
I don't know if you read how far I got on Archive of our Own https://archiveofourown.org/works/23092741/chapters/55246573 because I stopped on Deviant Art even earlier if I'm not mistaken, but you're right, probably with reversed roles the question would have seemed infinitely more tragic even if I still tried to do my best to show the discomfort that the situation caused in the male protagonist, still keeping him as much as possible "In" character.
In fact, there are several moments in the story in which I have also tried to create a comparison between his situation and that of another character (a female) who had already suffered the same fate and who tries, in good faith, to give him advice in that sense.
In other words, I tried to make the situation as "equal" as possible, ignoring the sexual aspect.
Attea found herself in a position of extreme advantage over Ben and Ben found himself forced to accept the situation in a dynamic that I wanted to be similar to that of "Beauty and the Beast".
